Virtual network gives simulator
capability to simulate network devices like gateway. It can be used
to test network applications, security products, firewall modules.
Xiptech simulator provides
two types of virtual network.
 The
first type is virtual network between several simulators. They run
on the same host computer at the same time. This allows users to
do network testing on only one computer.
The second
type is virtual device on physical network. Every instance of simulator
have one or several virtual net cards. Each net card has its own
MAC address. Physical computers on the network can find and communicate
with them.
