Technically, resources requirement of XIP Flash is not controlled by us,
it's determined by the flash file itself. Some flash files are simple
movies٬such as many advertisements on web pages. Some flash files are very
complicated, such as flash games. Some of them can be played in a low end
machine, whose CPU maybe just a 33MHZ DragonBall, while some of them cannot
be played smoothly on PC. Therefore we cannot tell if one system is enough
for XIP Flash. The only thing we are sure is we have done our best to
provide the best performance. The following is basic resource requirement of
XIP flash,
- Code size of XIP flash
About 300k, dependent on CPU instruction set. This
code size contains JPEG decoder and Zlib.
- CPU
50MIPS or above, 200MIPS will be enough
for most flash file. If the system has DSP(for audio or graphic),
it will reduce the CPU speed requirement.
- RAM
1 mega bytes or above. 4 mega bytes or
above will be much better.
- LCD
16 level gray or above. XIP Flash supports
gray LCD and color LCD.
